EnterprisingYou is a government-funded programme that provides skills support for self-employed people in Greater Manchester. It’s managed by a partnership between the Growth Company and PeoplePlus Enterprise.

Get SET is one of the agencies delivering support under the programme. We’ve listed a host of workshops, which have proved very popular amongst entrepreneurs. So much so, in fact, that since the scheme’s launch in the summer of 2020, we’ve now helped over a thousand business owners.

Topics include – amongst many others:

Marketing strategy
Social Media – individual courses on using Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn etc.
Video – individual courses on YouTube and TikTok
Selling online – individual courses on using Etsy, Amazon and eBay
Website development – courses on WordPress, Google Analytics, SEO etc.
Marketing communications – courses on PR, direct marketing, content-writing etc.
Customer relationship marketing
Branding and design
Networking and business events
Sales skills – individual courses on closing sales and building relationships
Online accounting tools
Using Microsoft Office tools – Word, Excel etc.
Remote working using Zoom / Teams etc.

Eligibility and Cost

The workshops are free for eligible entrepreneurs. To quality, you should be:

Aged 18+
Self-employed
Resident in Greater Manchester
Earning less than £27,000 a year
